The drama of the Yorkshire Dales is hard to beat with its wonderfully bleak, long distance views and enormous skies. I painted this one, of Fremington Edge, to highlight the colours of the heather and bracken, and the enormous blue bowl of the sky. I just wish I could add the magical sound of the skylarks to the painting!
