South Downs in the snow

The rolling, chalky South Downs have an entirely different face in the snow, which highlights the shapes of the hills and denes to create all sorts of exciting contrasts. On this occasion the snow was unusually deep and drifty, making the view almost abstract in its simplicity and  revealing the bones of the land beneath. I couldn't resist capturing it!
