This vintage oil painting of Whitby Harbour, North Yorkshire, caught my eye on Ebay. I love the misty town climbing up the hill in the distance, the way the artist has represented the water, and the perfect boats. It isn't easy to paint boats accurately, and they've done a brilliant job. Probably painted in around 1960, the original is one of my favourite bargain finds!
